Hotel Garuda, Blurry Eyes Release
During my time at Mom + Pop music, I was involved with marketing the release of Hotel Garuda’s song, Blurry Eyes in June 2018.
I decided to create a teaser motion graphic animation to promote the release and gave a sneak peek of the song’s vibe to the audience. I also created social banners for Hotel Garuda to use as the header image on their accounts that promoted Blurry Eyes.

Ideation Process…
The reason I have grown a passion for motion graphics is truly because of music and the inspiration it gives me to create something that makes someone feel a certain way. So, I was very excited to do this project. After listening to Blurry Eyes over and over again and using the album cover for inspiration - I created an animation focusing on the eyes and the beat of the intro.
Design Process…
In order to get the eyes as a single piece, I used photoshop to select each one from the album cover and make them into their own objects. Then I brought all of my assets into after effects including the song and the album cover, and started creating.
What i learned…
I learned that it really gives me design inspiration when I focus on the rhythm of a song to create something cohesive. A lot of my motion graphic work incorporates music visualization / audio react sequences because of what I learned from creating this animation.

The final animation that I created was posted on the Instagram profiles and websites of Hotel Garuda and Mom + Pop music.

I created social banners using Illustrator and Photoshop so that Hotel Garuda could advertise the release of Blurry Eyes on YouTube, Facebook, SoundCloud, and Twitter.
